YOUTH EMPOWERMENT – PROJECT YUVA
Youth are often regarded as an agent of social and economic change, which when nurtured carefully, can manifest its potential in great ways. A skilled and self-reliant young population are the greatest demographic dividend, any nation can possess. India has more than 50% of its population below the age of 25 and more than 65% below the age of 35. This is the biggest population advantage, when compared to its peers. Sadly, today youth are prone to various disadvantages which include lack of skills matching industry requirements, addiction issues like substance abuse, underemployment, digital divide, mental health and stigma around it among others. For any sustainable progress to happen, both nationally and globally, there should be proper utilization of its demographic dividend else it turns into a demographic disaster. Youth engagement in civic and Political platforms is crucial to generate awareness about the opportunities and avenues present today. Our goal lies in enhancing the access to the development pathways for the youth. It is done by various of our initiatives such as skill workshops, Hobby Clubs, addressing lifestyle patterns and reducing digital divide. This is a small step to achieve the big success I.e. responsible and skilled youth
